Sunday, saw the squirrels travel to Addington Village. After a long warm up for some, the skipper won his fifth toss in a row and elected to bat first. After further delays, the game got under way.
Charles (21) and Pat (34) opened the batting, with Charles being the more aggressive of the two and punishing anything short, before losing his leg stump.
Pat then upped the pace and looked in good order before getting a good nut that he gloved to the keeper.
Neil (25), Kyle (27) and Howesy (15) all contributed in the middle order. It was then left to Lloyd (1*) and the returning Russ (16*) to see the squirrels to a decent total of 175-5.
Himanshu (4-5) and Jake (1-7) got the Park off to a flying start, with the oppo never recovering from their start.
Harry S (1-23) and Russ (2-12) carried on the good work to leave Neil (1-0) to get his first wicket for the club and Lloyd (1-5) to get his first wicket for the squirrels this century as Addington were all out for 62.
Another good victory for the squirrels and we batted, bowled, and caught well, taking 9 catches.
Was great to see Russ back on the pitch again and hopefully we will see him again soon in a squirrels shirt.
Player of the match - Himanshu
Fine of the day - Howesy and Neil
